Are You Having A Rough Time Decorating For A Baby Shower Party? It May Be Tough Locating Solid Festive Decorations
My sister and I planned a baby shower party for one of our nieces. We made the decision to have it in the fellowship area of the neighborhood church because it was a large guest list. We had the shower on a Saturday afternoon. We did not want to get too complicated with the baby shower decorations because we had to have the complete area cleaned out immediately after the party. We did want to have a few decorations for baby shower to give the room a celebratory feel. There's a bassinet that's passed to every new mother for the baby to sleep in for the first four to 6 weeks. This bassinet was my mother's. We determined that we would use the bassinet as the middle of our baby shower decorations.
The fellowship area has large round tables that seat ten individuals. We moved one table off by itself to be the gift table. We covered this table with a smooth pink table cloth; our niece has found out she is having a girl. We set the bassinet in the middle of the table. We decided to use our presents for the baby shower party decorations. I had purchased a pink and white infant blanket, which we draped over the side of the cradle. We pinned several rattles and other infant toys to the blanket using diaper pins. We then displayed the little outfits that my sister had purchased. We finished the baby shower decorations for the presents table by placing a big stuffed bear into the cradle. It's so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!
For the buffet table we had an arrangement of freshly cut flowers from the local florist. She used silky pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the arrangement. We determined that no other baby shower festive decorations needed to be placed on this table. We did have pink napkins that we set on this table, along with a cake that was festooned with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket.
We had also gotten a corsage for our niece and one for every of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very good and we wouldn't have to spend a great deal of time cleaning up baby shower party decorations because they would all be sent home as presents to our niece.
We had a great turn out for the baby shower. My niece received quite a few very nice gifts. She was glad that we had the shower in a space that was not cramped. As she progresses with the pregnancy she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the baby shower party was over the fellowship area was cleaned up and we were on our way home.
