Any time you are responsible for TESTING a videogame, you'll beat an area and then RESTART that area and play it again & again. You won't repeat this once, twice, or even three times. You do this many, many times until finally you have uncovered all of the glitches & bugs of that area. This may mean playing a certain area of a video-game a dozen times, if not more, to make certain that you've found all possible problems. Be honest with yourself, does this sound as if it's going to be a "exciting time" to you? Probably NOT!
Now, don't get the wrong idea here. Paid video game testers can & WILL have fun performing their job -- you just have to understand that the fun is not near the amount some individuals think it is. As opposed to drinking soft drinks, eating tons of junk food, and spending time with friends playing great games, testers are seriously working to make video games more fun for the hundreds of thousands of waiting gamers out there.
