Quite A Few Young Guys Who Work In Construction Exhibit Thoughtless Drinking And Need Alcohol Rehab
I know numerous young men who work in construction who display heavy and irresponsible drinking. After working exceptionally hard for eight or more hours, it seems so "right" to go to the local watering hole to have a few beers with the guys. Usually, it may be pointed out, it appears that the well-intentioned few beers turns into a predicament in which quite a few drinks are ingested, several dollars are spent, and a lot of time is spent at the local drinking establishment instead of spending time with their family, wife or girlfriend, or with their friends.
How hard can it be for my hard working buddies to grasp the fact that irresponsible drinking commonly results in marital, friendship, and relationship problems? Why are these alcoholism and alcohol abuse signs so hard for my hard working friends to see?
Does it really flabbergast anybody to realize that these hard working men eventually complain about alcohol-related health issues such as sleep disturbances, alcohol poisoning, hangovers, and a loss of energy? Is it really surprising that many of my hard working friends are beginning to have a variety of mental health difficulties such as depression? Why can't my hard working friends "see" these alcohol abuse and alcoholism signs?
Regarding the drinking behavior displayed by my hard working friends, the point to emphasize is that honesty is needed. Indeed, these construction workers, not that much different than others who involve themselves irresponsible drinking, need to look at their behavior and make a factual assessment of what excessive drinking is doing to their jobs, to their finances, to their health, to their mental health, and to their relationships. In a word, these construction workers need to understand the signs of alcoholism and alcohol abuse exhibited by their irresponsible drinking.
My hard working friends need to get enthused and motivated about wanting to make a positive change in their lives. In other words, my hard working friends need to get motivated to go to their family doctor or to the local alcohol counseling clinic and determine whether or not they are basically abusing alcohol or if they are dependent on alcohol. Based on the information that is uncovered, these construction workers then need to get the alcohol detox treatment and the alcohol rehab they need.
The great news is that there's a wide variety of rehabilitation facilities, rehab programs, drug and alcohol treatment clinics, treatment centers, and hospitals where my hard working buddies can get first-rate rehabilitation for their abusive and hazardous drinking. And with some exertion, it's even possible to find rehabilitation facilities, rehab programs, drug and alcohol treatment clinics, treatment centers, and hospitals that are cost effective.
There were obviously times in the past when first-class rehab for alcohol abuse or alcohol dependency was more expensive and far less available that it is now. Because of the tremendous increase of alcohol abuse and alcoholism in the past decade, then again, an alcoholic or an alcohol abuser usually has few, if any, legitimate reasons for failing to come to terms with his or her abusive and hazardous drinking.
In truth, to start the change process all it takes in many instances is a single phone call to one's doctor or to someone at the local alcohol counseling clinic. From that point forward, lasting sobriety necessitates follow through, commitment, and a sincere desire to change one's destructive lifestyle.
